EVENT INFORMATION

Pacific Serenades, a recipient of New Music USA’s prestigious Letter of Distinction for 2013, opens its 27th season with a world premiere for cello quartet, Eugene Friesen’s Soul of the White Ant. The program, titled Radio Waves, will also include jazz great Dave Brubeck’s Tritonis, innovatively arranged for cello quartet by Friesen. As is customary with Pacific Serenades’ programming, this evening of music will be an inspiring juxtaposition of adventurous new work and beloved classical selections. Other pieces to be performed include Bach’s Chaconne from Partita in D minor and Suite No. 3 in C major.
