Chamber Music in Historic Sites presents the L.A. debut of Cuarteto Quiroga. This multi-prize-winning Spanish quartet takes its name from the Galician violinist Manuel Quiroga, one of their countries most celebrated players. Living up to their namesake, they bring vivid, expressive interpretations to quartets of Haydn (in E-flat, Op. 20/1), Mozart (in A, K. 464) and Brahms (in a, Op. 51/2). “With their Haydn everything vibrates, breathes, is full of emotion, full of life” (Le Monde) – “Exquisite: precise, perfectly balanced, interpretively fresh performances, couched in consistently warm hues” (New York Times). Following the concert, join us for a catered reception with the artists.
